  • Served as lead telecoms counsel for private equity firm in
    several terrestrial and subsea systems bids.

  • Represented the buyers of several wholesale and retail
    telecommunications service providers.

  • Negotiated and closed debt and equity investments in
    telecommunications service providers and software publishers
    on behalf of both recipients and investors.

  • Negotiated and closed network interconnection agreements
    with all the Bell Operating Companies (and successor
    organizations) as well as many CLECs including Global
    Crossing, Level (3), Citizens Communications, Frontier
    Communications and others.

  • Represented purchasers as lead and associate telecoms
    counsel in reorganization of several facilities-based carriers in
    bankruptcy proceedings.

  • Provide lead telecoms regulatory counsel for several facilities-
    based circuit- and packet-switched telecoms service providers
    before federal and state regulators.

  • Negotiated and closed (outward) licenses on behalf of
    software publishers with Internet companies such as Google,
    AOL, MapQuest, Interactive Corp., Yahoo! and others.

  • Negotiated the inward license of several OSS and other back-
    office systems as well as consultant contracts for their
    installation, customization and implementation.

  • Served as lead counsel in negotiating settlement agreement
    with the Business Software Alliance on behalf of commercial
    software users; contributed to design and implementation of
    internal controls and audits to manage inward licensure of
    software packages to ensure compliance.

  • Served as lead telecoms counsel in a number of state and
    federal litigated and mediated cases on behalf of both carriers
    and subscribers.
